Im never betting against this
guy again...
Here are the early results of the weekly SEC and NFL picks. Still got two Monday Night'ers tonight, each worth 2 points:

* I realized this weekend that i shortchanged ya''ll and left out Steelers/Falcons and Giants/Panthers. My apologies, i figured you would pick the Steelers and Giants anyways. Point for you, no point for me.

Three Picks That Were Spot On:

1- Texans over Colts

Called that one. Can't stop the zone blocking scheme! Colts run defense has alway been
shaky and the Texans took advantage of it. Bet you wish you drafted Arian Foster.

2- Lions over Bears (vs the spread)

Im telling you, the Lions are for real! (against the spread.) And in this one they nearly pulled off
the real victory as well. Not sure how Staffords injury will affect my gambling tendencies, but for now i am predicting a 16-0 season for the Lions...... against the spread that is.

3- Tulane covering against Ole Miss

Ole Miss has a lot of issues. For all of Masoli's talents, it is going to take a while for him to get
aclimated to life in the SEC. The team is talented and could win some big ball games, however it will take some time for this team to jell, and those big wins, if they come at all, are likely to
come later in the season.

Three Picks That Were Way Off:

1- Raiders covering against the Titans

Whoops. I feel like an idiot for picking this one. Rule number one; never gamble in favor of crappy teams. And the Raiders are crappy. How did I ignore my own advice and go with the Raiders, owner of THE worst line in the NFL? I have no idea. Titans are legit, my apologies to Vince Young and Chris Johnson. No more talking myself into Raider victories.

2- Tennessee covering against Oregon

Yup, UT got smacked. I feel dumb for buying into the "playing on the road in the SEC is
impossible" nonsense. I guess LSU is the only team that has difficulty with that. The Ducks are
for real, UT is not. I feel retarted.

3- Vikings covering against the Saints

Why do i do this to myself? The Saints only return the same team that won the Super Bowl last
year. They only have the best coach and the best quarterback in football, and they were only
playing in front of their home crowd on opening night. Furthermore, the Vikings are led by a 40
year old Quarterback, without their two best offensive playmakers and behind a deteoriating
offensive line. The vengenance factor can only go so far. Even though Minnesota nearly covered, no more disrespecting the Saints again!

  1. I like how you devoted your picture for this article on never betting against Chris Johnson, and then bet against him the very next game. You have such resolve.
