Week 2 SEC Pick'em

Just fall down, its safer that way
College football has arrived, so has my first set of weekly picks. A trip to Atlanta for the LSU UNC game delayed my first week of picks, but i am now fully recovered and ready for another week of college football awesomeness. And another week of Patrick Petterson video game god mode'ness.

Feel free to post your picks in the comments section,  I will keep track of them throughout the season.

Winner takes home pride and bragging rights.

Auburn @ Miss St +2.5

A veteran offensive line and a strong front seven will give Auburn the edge against the cowbells of Mississippi State.

The Pick: Auburn

Georgia @ South Carolina -3

Georgia survives without AJ Green, bringing USC down to earth and covering the spread.

The Pick: Georgia

South Florida @ Florida -15

Florida gets back on track and sticks it to USF in the swamp. Brantley throws for 3 touchdowns and settles concerns about whether he can fill Tebow's monk cut.

The Pick: Florida

LSU @ Vandy +9.5

Two words: Patrick Petterson. Two more: Game over. LSU of course. Fans are upset about the second half vs UNC, but dont forget that the team, especially Jordan Jefferson and Russell Sheppard looked real sharp for the majority of the game.

The Pick: LSU

Louisiana Monroe @ Arkansas -34

Ryan Mallet against inferior pass rushes and poor secondary? This could get ugly. Time to pad those Heisman statistics.

The Pick: Arkansas

Oregon @ Tennessee +12

The Ducks are hot after a 72-0 win over New Mexico St, but this one is on the road against an SEC opponent. Ducks still win, but Tennesses covers.

The Pick: Tennessee

Penn St @ Alabama -12

Similiar to Oregon, Penn St is about to learn what it is like to play an SEC opponent on the road. Its not pretty. Unlike Oregon, they face the defending National Champs. This one could get ugly. Bama in a Saban style blowout. (Which means a 14 point lead, followed by sitting on the clock.)

The Pick: Alabama

Western Kentucky @ Kentucky -24.5

Western Kentucky? Why not. Go Hilltoppers.

The Pick: Western Kentucky

Ole Miss @Tulane + 20.5

Some might see Ole Miss getting vengance against Tulane; i see serious issues for Ole Miss, who are trying to learn about life after dexter. This, plus a  Bourbon street hangover leads to Tulane covering the spread, barely.

The Pick: Tulane

Florida State @ Oklahoma -7.5

Florida State shows up strong in Norman and keeps it close, covering the spread.

The Pick: Florida St

Miami @ Ohio St - 8

Ohio St's strong offensive line, stellar defense and a little bit of Tryelle Pryor will prove to much for the Hurricanes. Buckeyes win by a touchdown and a field goal.

The Pick: Buckeyes

Stanford @ UCLA -6

Jim Harbaugh has some magic on his side, or is it actually a little bit of Luck. Andrew Luck that is. Future 49ers quarterback proves his worth against UCLA in a road game upset.

The Pick: Stanford
