Are the Raiders better than the 49ers?

As the Bay Area football teams prepare for their respective week five opponents, (Raiders at home vs the Chargers, and 49ers on Sunday Night vs the Eagles,) I couldn't help but look ahead to next week's "Battle for the Bay," when the Oakland Raiders cross the Bay Bridge for a West Coast style showdown, showcasing two, of the NFL's eight, below .500 football teams.

Fans of false starts, fumbles and frenetic offense's rejoice. This will be your Super Bowl.

The question, after after a decade full of 49ers "dominance," is whether the Raiders have finally earned the title as only "the second worst football team" in the Bay Area.

Oakland will head into the game with a better record, a defense that has played well and a running game that has been effective.

The 49ers on the other hand, have taken their dysfunction to a "Raiders-esque" low, and are struggling with offensive consistency, turnovers and penalities.

So who really is the worst fooball team in the Bay Area; the Raiders or the 49ers?

We wont know until after next week, but for now, we at least know its not Stanford.
