Week 6 SEC Pick'em

Those of you looking for Les Miles firing; you aren't going to get it. Not while the University continues to cut costs, and faces an 8 million dollar buyout of Les Miles' contract. Besides, why get rid of the Mad Hatter? The players still believe in him, he is bringing in top 5 recruiting classes every year and he isnt in charge of the offense anyways. Gary Crowton is. So c'mon Tiger fans, believe in Les, get rid of Crowton.

LSU @ Florida -6.5

Here is whey I am not worried about LSU right now. Overlooked last week was 495 yards of total offense, the emergence of Steven Riddley as a stud running back, the solid play of Jarett Lee and the dominance once again, by the LSU defense. UT did not outplay LSU last week, as many "experts" are claiming. If anything, LSU beat themselves with 115 yards in penalites and 4 turnovers. A win is a win, and the Tigers will be looking for another one this week in Gainsville.

Alabama @ South Carolina+8

Alabama looked invincible last week at home against the Gators, inspiring an unheard of 8 point spread on the road against a top 20 team. There are three factors that I think will turn this into a letdown game for Alabama. 1) South Carolina has had two weeks to prepare for this game. 2) This is the third week in a row that Alabama plays a top 20 team. 3) Steve Spurrier. the Ol' Ball Coach still has a little magic left.  Not sure if this factors lead to an outright Gamecock upset, but I think SC will cover the spread and give Bama a scare, similiar to their UT game last year.

Tennessee @ Georgia -11

Georgia is falling apart, and Mark Richt's hotseast is getting warmer each week. I expect UT to retaliate after last week's dissapointment. Plus, the Magic Eight ball on my desk, said UT will cover.

Arkansas @ Texas A&M +5

Arkansas, who is looking for a signature win this year, will win big coming off the bye week. Arkansas' rested offense will look to explode against this Big 12 opponent.

Eastern Michigan @ Vanderbilt -26

I am pretty sure Eastern Michigan hasnt won a game in a couple of years. And if there is one thing we have learned, anytime a desperate mid-major school gets a chance at a limping conference giant, you gotta take it. Right Ole Miss fans? Right Michigan fans? Right? Ill go with
Eastern Michgian, why not.

Auburn @ Kentucky +6

Cam Newton baby!

Mississippi State @ Houston+5

I vaugly remember Houston being good. Dont they have that old Hawaii coach, June Jones? Or is he at SMU? In any case, the SEC is finding that road games against out of conference opponents are no easy deal. (Im looking at you Georgia.) I can see Miss St struggling to cover that 5 point spread on the road.

Michigan State @ Michigan-4.5

Denard Robinson vs Coach's Heart Attack Comeback story. Hmm... ill take Coachs Heart Attack Comeback Story. Robinson is awesome, but has anybody paid attention to who Michigan has been playing? I mean, Indiana, Akron arent exactly the class of the FBS. I like Michigan St. to cover if not win this one in the Big House.
Florida State@ Miami -6.5

The Seminoles burned me before with a blowout loss to Oklahoma, but I am counting on them to pull off this upset, against the Hurricanes. Both teams are scoring lots of points and playing solid defense. Their defensive lines are ranked 1 and 2 in the nation for sacks and tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The difference factor is going to be the Quarterback play. The Seminoles have Chris Ponder, an expierienced upperclassmen, while Miami is rolling with the inconsistent Jacory Harris. I think the Quarterback play will be the difference, and will favor the Seminoles.
