49ers Defeat Raiders in an Embarassment (Not a Battle) By The Bay

Was there anything more depressing than Sunday's Raiders-49ers showdown? There were no real winners in this game. The two teams combined for 12 total points over three quarters and solidified there respective positions as two of the worst teams in the NFL. Pathetic. At this point, I am fairly sure that Stanford could give either team a run for their money.

If the Raiders or 49ers were somehow able to land either or both of the two Cardinals, it would certainly be an upgrade of what they have now.

The 49ers management reeks of dysfunction right now. Somehow Jed York, a complete non-football guy, has taken on a Jerry Jones type football role. What the 49ers need to realize is that Jerry Jones isn't successful, and he IS a football guy.

You cant give one man in an organization all the power, unless that man has a proven track record as a talent evaluator and decision maker.

Going into the season without a backup plan for unproven Alex Smith was a novice decision and the 49ers are paying for it right now. The 49ers need to bring in a football guy to help Jed out, not just his buddies Paragg Matthe and Trent Balke.

I am tired of watching the 49ers and Raiders play in their respective dumps. Its time for both teams to upgrade to a new season, ASAP. And seeing as how California has no business building two football stadiums in the present economic crisis, why not consider a joint stadium similiar to the Jets and the Giants?

Commisioner Roger Goddell spoke about the subjet leading up to this weeks game, and I believe it is something that should get more serious consideration than it has.

Why don't the 49ers and Raiders suck it up and play in a joint stadium? Jets fans and Giants fans aren't complaining about that
sparkling new stadium they are sharing. You gotta believe that the forever-living Al Davis is holding up any possibility of this actually happening. But I got no complaints with sharing a stadium with the Raiders, or even contracting the Raiders all together.
Speaking of Stanford, their Head Coach and Quarterback combination, Jim Harbaugh and Andrew Luck, are certainly more desirable right now than the Raiders Tom Cable/ Gradkowski/Campbell or 49ers Singletary/Smith combination's. Harbaugh will be a hot collegiate and pro coaching candidate this off season and Luck is looking like the number one overall pick in next years draft.
