Giants Lose NLCS Game 2: Someone Besides Cody Ross Needs To Step Up

Ross, sweet Cody Ross. Never doubted him for a second. Did I question that waiver pick up when it happened? Of course (I did) not. I knew the second we got him that he was going to be a killer in the playoffs. Clearly Diabolical Brian Sabean knew that picking up a player whose name spelled backwards is Ssory Doc, would play a crucial role in the playoffs against the Phillies Doc Halladay.
Some actual text's after Cody Ross' third home run of the series:

Me: I want to kiss Cody Ross' big bald head!
Joel: I would lick it like a lollipop
Steve: I would leave a hickey on it
You gotta wonder if anybody besides Cody Ross can get the Giants offense going. The overlooked factor in the Braves series was that a majority of those runs came off of Atlanta errors. (Thank you Brooks Conrad.)
Someone in this lineup, other than Ross, is going to have to step up and produce some runs. Torres (who is an automatic out at this point) and Sanchez have been complete non-factors, Huff and Burrell have had minimal impact and everyone else besides Posey have done absolutely nothing.
Its no secret that the offense has been the Achilles heel for the Giants all year, but somebody has gotta make something happen if the Giants have any chance of pulling out the series.
You know who would look great in this Giants lineup right now? Carl Crawford. He is exactly what the lineup needs, a lead off hitter that can get on base, hits for power, drive in runs and terrorize the base paths.
Matt Cain takes the hill on Tuesday for the Giants, as they look to take a 2-1 series lead. One thing I can take comfort in as a Giants fan is that most of those Phillies home runs the last two games would not have gone out at ATT park. The lower the scores are, the better for the Giants, and the home field advantage will contribute that cause.
