I Would Gladly Take Barry Bonds as My Hitting Coach

During last night's game Barry Bonds was quoted as saying he would love to be the Giants hitting coach.

ESPN's network of east-coast biased personalitites, have been ridiculing these comments, but as a loyal Barry Bonds apologist, heck yes I would like Barry Bonds as a hitting coach.

Lost in all the steroid allegations was the incredible amount of knowledge packed into Barry's supiciously large cranium.

He had an incredible memory during his playing days, and was able to recall at bats against specific pitchers from all periods of his 17 year playing career. And not just the result of the at bats, but the pitches, the sequence and situation.

As he was often quoted during his career, Barry did not want to share this plethora of information to his teamates because there was no guarantee that they would remain his teamates in subsequent years.

But if he was willing to share this knowledge (the majority of which is still current) with his hometown Giants as a coach, well I dont see why that couldnt hurt.
