Yes, Les Miles Just Out-coached Nick Saban

For those of you Les Miles haters out there, don't even try to blame this on some voodoo/cajun inspired, "Mad Hatter" luck.

Les Miles just out coached his nemesis, Nick Saban, evening the career match up to 2 games apiece.

Miles made all the right moves, called all the right plays and pushed all the right buttons. Saban didnt have an answer for any of it.

4th and 1 in the third quarter? How about a 25 yard fake punt run by the kicker. Sure.
4th and 1 in the fourth quarter? Lets go with a double pitch end around to the tight end. Why not?
3rd and 8 on a crucial third down to take time off the clock, and right after the starting quarterback subs out with an injury? Mmm, i'll throw it over the top of the zone for a 46 yard game sealing reception. Perfect.

Many college football "experts," and grumbling monday morning "fans" will look at all three of those game changing plays and bash Miles for "gambling" with risky play calling. They will point out that you cant expect to live on the edge and stay alive in the SEC, and a more traditional attack would better serve the Tigers.

Well Les is proving that all of those "experts" are in fact incorrect.

Miles actually has the "Lesticles" to put the game on the line, and go for the jugular. He puts the pressure on the opponent by taking advantage of special teams opportunities and keeping his offense unpredictable. He aggressively plays to win, week in and week out, and opposing coaches are passively crumbling because of it.

So isn't it about time we applaud Miles for his ruthless, competitive, hold nothing back approach? The Mad Hatter plays to win, and its working.

Just ask Nick Saban.
